What does the class include? All materials and 2.5 hours of instruction. By the end of the class you will have all of the basic skills of sweetgrass basket weaving. Based on your pace you may have completed a small handle sweetgrass basket or be well on your way to completing the basket and starting your sweetgrass making journey.

Jennifaye Singleton, a fifth generation Sweetgrass Basket weaver will teach the process, and share the gullah geechee culture and language along with the history of sweetgrass basket making. All of the materials and tools will be explained in the making process.

Water and light snacks will be provided. You are welcome to bring a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice or snacks.
