St. Helena Library’s 8th Annual Gullah Night On The Town will celebrate the history and culture of Ghana and its connection with the Gullah Geechee People.

Dr. Walter C. Rucker, Professor from Emory University will present a lecture at 2 PM on Ghana and the Gold Coast. Young Farmers of the Lowcountry will present a Taste of Ghana with a sample of foods from Ghana and Dr. Najmah Thomas will present the principles of Kwanzaa. For families with children, Mrs. Bradley will present the poem on Sundiata the great King of Mali before showing the latest version of Disney’s Lion King.
